Jürgen Klopp's Strong Leadership Example

leadership mindset performance wellbeing

In this video, I share some thoughts on leadership following an interview with Jürgen Klopp, who recently announced his plan to leave Liverpool FC.

Jürgen Klopp provided a strong leadership example in his recent announcement that he would leave Liverpool FC at the end of the season.

His interview was full of observations about strong leadership: self-awareness, courage, mission, selflessness, decision-making, and more.

The vulnerability and honesty he demonstrated highlighted the importance and value of transparent and courageous leadership.

Leadership isn't easy, and with the demands placed on leaders in today's culture, it's not uncommon for self-care to be neglected.

Some high-achievers feel guilty about resting, and for others, the thought of taking a break can cause a level of discomfort they're reluctant to admit.

But rest is vital to wellbeing because when leaders or high-performers fail to rest, they run the risk of burnout.

And when good leaders burn out, it affects everyone they lead.

In light of this, Jürgen Klopp offered a strong leadership example that I believe every leader should follow.
